Комитет проводит политику Правительства Российской Федерации в сфере туризма и курортного дела и координирует деятельность органов управления туризмом субъектов Федерации. Комитет имеет представительство в ряде зарубежных стран. Работа Комитета способствует инвестиционной активности в сфере туризма, продвижению регионального и общероссийского туристского продукта на внутреннем и внешних рынках и защите интересов путешествующих как потребителей.
The Committee carries out a policy of the Government of the Russian Federation in the spheres of tourism and resorts and coordinates the activities of tourism regulating bodies in the subjects of the Federation. The Committee has representative offices in a number of foreign countries. The Committee furthers investment projects in tourism, helps to promote regional and Russian tourism products on the local and international markets as well as to protect interests of travelers as consumers.
