Since 1981, PHILOXENIA has been a point of reference for the international tourism. The first edition comprised 161 exhibitors who rented 6000-sq.m net exhibition space. In 1997 the figures rose to 369 and 10.000 sq.m respectively. The increase in figures was accompanied by an impressive improvement in quality and the over all aesthetics. In 1999 PHILOXENIA will act as a dynamic international tourism exchange in Southeast Europe. The incorporation of the latest technological developments by the tourism industry as well as the entire spectrum of its alternative forms will be the subject for analysis and application in various scientific seminars.
