ГУП "Севморнефтегеофизика" (СМНГ) основано в 1979 году и является крупнейшей в Российской Федерации организацией, осуществляющей морские геофизические исследования, цифровую обработку и интерпретацию сейсмических данных, картографию, разрез буровых скважин и обработку нефтефизических данных, изучение источников и моделирование.
СМНГ имеет 7 специализированных судов, оснащенных современным оборудованием, работающих во всем мире.
"Sevmorneftegeofisika" (SMNG) was founded in 1979 and has grown into the largest Russian geophysical contractor engaged in seismic data acquisition in the Russian Arctic Offshore area, and in the western market in the Atlantic Ocean from Antarctica to Spitsbergen.
SMNG owns specialised fleet which includes seismic vessels for deep marine and shallow waters operations and equipped with modern navigation and seismic complexes, including 16-bit and 24-bit digital systems. SMNG has a computer center and highly qualified interpretation group, that allows SMNG to conduct processing and interpretation of 2D/3D data, mapping, well logging and petrophysical data processing, reservoir studies and modelling.
In total, SMNG has acquired more than 400.000 km of seismic lines in the Russian Arctic Offshore area. On the basis of acquired data 11 oil and gas fields have been discovered in the Barents, Pechora and Kara Seas, and the Laptev Sea.
SMNG jointly with Geco-Prakla for the first time in Russia had conducted 3D seismic survey in the Prirazlomnaya field and second 3D survey in the Varandey-More, in the Pecora Sea. SMNG on its computer center had successful done processing and interpretation of Prirazlomnaya 3D survey and plan processing and interpretation of Varandey datas.
Since 1989 most of SMNG vessels have been operating in the western market under agreements with BRG, CGG, Digicon, Geco-Prakla, LASMO, NOPEC, PGS, Spectrum, SPT and others.
