The firm is a joint-stock textile company involved in the weaving and finishing of light to middle heavy fabrics. The root of the company's activity can be seen from its name, witch means SILK in Slovene.
In 1998 the company introduced the "Tina" Collection, a new line intended for the most demanding buyers of ready-to-wear women's clothing and leisure wear.
Fabrics and activities:
weaving silk - type of fabrics;
weaving fabrics from other yarns;
finishing light to middle heavy fabrics;
research in fields of yarns and fabrics, company's own research unit, registered by MST in 1993.
The combination of yarns give rise to a large number of different fabrics each of witch can be a variety of weaves including plain weaves, dobby or jacquard designs. The fabrics may than be dyed, finally the fabrics can be finished by any of variety of chemical treatments depending upon their end use.
