The marine commercial port of Vyborg is an important transport centre in North-Western Russia. The port of Vyborg is situated on the shores of the Gulf of Vyborg, leading to the Gulf of Finland and the Baltic Sea. The territory around the port is 16,16 hectares. Warehouse yards for loads in open storage total 34 440 sq. m. The port capacity is up to 2 million tonnes per year. The technical equipment of the port permits the loading of all kinds of freight. The port has 13 quays with a total length of 1588,0 linear metres, arranged along the shoreline of the Gulf of Vyborg. The total lenght of loading quays is 999,7 m. The depth of loading quays is from 7,5 to 9,8 m.
Entry and exit from the port of Vyborg is permitted: during the hours of daylight vessels up to 135 m long and with a draught of up to 6,5 m in a water level of 0,0 cm.
