Компания "NOSTRAC" занимается разработкой проекта под одноименным названием в рамках транспортного коридора "Север - Юг" совместно с Минтрансом РФ. Главный консультант проекта - компания "GIBB Ltd." (Великобритания). Цель проекта - резкое снижение сроков доставки грузов между Европой, Южной Азией и странами Персидского залива путем переключения транспортных потоков на территорию России. Ключевым звеном коридора являются крупнотоннажные грузопассажирские паромные суда для перевозок железнодорожных вагонов, контейнеров и автомобилей в Персидском заливе и Аравийском море. Проект разрабатывается при содействии Центра ООН по промышленному развитию (ЮНИДО) в РФ (рег. © RUS/004/R/99-11).
NOSTRAC company is developing project of the same name as a part of the "North - South" transport corridor together with the Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation. Overall planning and contractors' coordination for the project is handled by GIBB Ltd. (UK). The aim of the corridor is to provide radical cuts in cargo delivery time between Europe, South Asia and the Persian Gulf by deviating cargo flows in the direction of Russia. The key element of the project is the cargo/passenger ferry boats of large capacity able to transport rail cars, containers, and automobiles in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea. NOSTRAC project is being developed under the auspices of the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Center in Russian Federation (UNIDO Reg. No. RUS/004/R/99-11).
