Bezpeka - 2009

The crisis, multiplied by flu, hasn't reduced the professional endurance and interest of the national security experts. 165 exhibitors from 8 countries and over 5000 specialists from all regions of Ukraine gathered in the beginning of November at the exhibition centre "KievExpoPlaza", at the main event of security industry - "Bezpeka - 2009" exhibition.

"Bezpeka - 2009" convincingly proved that the Ukranian security industry is full of optimism, enthusiasm and aimed at the further development and improvement. The exposition "Okhorona", which was timed to the "Bezpeka - 2009" exhibition and presented for the first time and Ukranian-Polish Forum for EURO-2012, devoted to security issues, raised its level to the new heights, and the Miss Security Ukraine competition made the event spectacular.

The exhibition "Bezpeka - 2009" was opened in a military ceremonial way, there was a parade of military personnel and vehicles of the "Okhorona" exposition participants. For the first time representatives of governmental and non-governmental security agencies marched together in front of the exhibition guests and participants. Among the participants of the parade were representatives of the Department SSS at MIA Ukraine, UFNSESI: "Atlant", "West-Holding Center", "Taifun", "Partner", as well as representatives of the Group 4 Securicor, Venbest, Vik-Tan, Stels-1.

The complete complex of systems, means, and services for enterprise, office, private house, and people security at the exposition "Bezpeka - 2009" was represented by 165 agencies, enterprises, organizations, and companies from Ukraine, Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Russia, Finland, and France. 48 companies took part in the exhibition for the first time.

"Bezpeka - 2009" presented the booths of such organizations as the State Research and Development Institute of MIA Ukraine, the State Scientific Research Expertise and Forensic Centre of MIA Ukraine, the State Security Service of Ukraine, the State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the Engineering Technology Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, UFNSESI, UFSE, and also such leading non-state companies in the security area as Group 4 Securicor, Avancard, Axioma-Techno, AMI, Argus-Inform, ARTON, Bastion-Kiev, Bolid, VENBEST, Ves Mir Bronedverey, Video Internet Technologies, Vik-Tan, DEFENCE, ETC, Institute of Information Technologies, Integrated Technical Vision, Ista-Sital, Kvirin, Kobi-VPK, Kub-kontur, Kaspersky Lab. In response to market offers as a strategic innovation of this year Bezpeka became a unique event for Ukrainian security industry. Besides traditional thematic areas such as technical security systems and protective means, fire-fighting systems and appliances, intelligent technologies, InfoBezpeka exposition - for the first time the trade show presented the exposition of "Okhorona", service of security panels and physical protection. The new exposition, that unites more than 50 exhibitors, is organized under support of the Department of SSS at MIA Ukraine, UFNSESI, UFSE, Venbest and Vik-Tan companies.

Important step in the development of relations between France and Ukraine was the first in Bezpeka trade show history complex presentation of technologies and equipment by French companies in the National Pavilion of France, made by joint efforts of UBIFRANCE, French Agency for International Business Development, and the Embassy of France in Ukraine.

One of the core events of "Bezpeka - 2009" was the Ukrainian-Polish Forum for Euro-2012, organized by the Ukrainian Federation of Employees of Non-State Security Services and leading public organization in security matters of Poland, POLSKA IZBA OCHORONY, under support of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine, Football Federation of Ukraine and Local Organizing Committee for Euro-2012 Ukraine.

For the first time in the security market history of Ukraine there was such an event as Miss Security Ukraine competition, organized by UFNSESI. The honoured title - Miss Security Ukraine - was won by Svetlana Veremchuk, Deputy Head of the Legal Department of "Taifun" security agency (Lugansk).
