Exhibits in different ways connected with pencraft were placed in the museum halls. These are ancient types of Slavic and European script all together with rare examples of manuscripts, books on calligraphy published today and writing sets belonging to different epochs. Permanent exposition counts more than eighty works by professional calligraphers from different countries of the world. Specialists from Russia, Germany, France, the USA, Israel, Japan, Syria are among them as well as masterpieces by renowned guru and their followers' works.
The first visitors say that the warm atmosphere of the exhibition at once disposes to meditative perception of the world. Deep aesthetic value carrying positive energetics of the Letter is laid in every work. Justly, the words said in the greeting were sincerely warm and open.
The President of the National Calligraphers Union Peter Chobitko and the museum director Aleksei Shaburov congratulated the guests on the opening of the first museum of calligraphy.
The Chancellor of Israel Ambassy and representative of the Israeli Cultural Centre Yossef Tavor also delivered his speech of welcome. He presented a work by the eminent Israeli calligrapher Abraham-Arsh Borschevski to the new museum.
This event was covered in all chief mass media. Master classes by well-known calligraphers were held within the opening. Owing to them everyone could enjoy the process of creating small masterpieces which were ready to become one more decoration for the museum walls right on the spot.
