On October 22, from 10:00 till 11:30, in the middle hall of the expocenter "Sibir" (Krasnoyarsk), there will be a sitting of a round table "Practical Means of Enterprise Information Safety Support. Protection of Users Against Cyber Fraud".
At present the problem of fraud in the sphere of electronic services is getting especially urgent. While more and more various terminals, cellular operators, Internet websites appear, the risk to become a victim of fraud rises.
Department of Informatization and Communication of the Krasnoyarsk Administration and Main Department of Internal Affairs in Krasnoyarsk Region invites representatives of firms providing electronic services, cellular communication operators, representatives of Krasnoyarsk banks, law-enforcement authorities, private persons to take part in the discussion of this problem.
The following issues will be discussed at the sitting:
- Current analysis of the cyber fraud problem (statistics of fraud cases number, estimation of gravity of a problem for the region, situation forecast)
- Measures of service providers for the prevention of such-like crimes
- Measures of law-enforcement authorities (description of measures, existing legislation acts, their specific effect)
- Cyber fraud defining methods by the service users and methods of fraud prevention
An instruction booklet will serve as a round table resolution, it will be intended for the common user of electronic services and it will specify what should be done and what shouldn't be done so that not to become a fraud victim as well as what to do when it still happened.
The sitting of the round table on the problem of protection of users against cyber fraud will be within the framework of the exhibition "itCOM - Information Technologies. Telecommunications - 2009", which will be held on October 22-24.
