In March 19 - 22, 2003 in "Lenexpo" exhibition center the 10th International specialized exhibition of the constructions and devices for protection of water and air basins and the recycling technologies "Ecology of the Big City" was held within the framework of the International Ecological Forum. The exhibition illustrated the high interest to this action among scientists and businessmen, federal and municipal authorities.
More than 80 companies from different regions of Russia, former Soviet Republics and Baltic States presented their technologies and services. There were such companies as: "Hetek" Co., Ltd; "Yug-Tanker" is member of the "Volgotanker" Group, JSC; PFK "Mehanik", Ltd; Mechanical factory "Leninets", Holding company, JSC; "Eltex" Ltd; "Paritet", JSC; "Filtr", JSC; "Technoanalyt", Ltd; DGUP "Baltic BASU"; "KWI", Inc.; Naue Fasertechnik GmbH & Co. KG; Pressor Ltd. and many others. The stand presented by International Association for Ecological Safety was devoted to the companies, which provide services in the sphere of rational use of natural resources and environmental preservation. 30 firm-members of the Association for Ecological Partnership presented a wide variety of services, which could help different industrial enterprises to solve their ecological problems. Polish companies H. Cegielski Poznan S.A., Dome International Ltd. and firm "Prote" took part in the exhibition for the first time.
4000 specialists were visiting the International Ecological Forum for 4 days. According to marketing research, conducted among the visitors the level of the exhibition had significantly raised. Since the exhibition increased we can suppose that the development of this exhibition trend in North - West region in Russia and Baltic States is rather perspective
