DISPLAY - 2009
The 4th Russian Specialized Exhibition of Means, Systems, and Technologies of Visualization "DISPLAY - 2009" finished its work in Saint Petersburg within the framework of integrated events of the "Russian Innoivation Week".
The organizer of the event was the Russian Department of the International Display Society (SID), under the auspice and support of the Russian Department of the International Society of Instrument Making Systems and Automation ISA, Saint Petersburg Government, Exhibition Complex "Lenexpo".
The exposition presented displays, screens, display panels, indicators, projecting engineering, equipment, and software for 3D visualization, components and materials for production of visualization means, system projects and solutions.
The exhibition and other events of the Russian Innovation Week were visited by about 10,000 experts, including over 3,000 of those, who specialized in the sector of display technologies. About 40 companies from Russia, Belarus, Taiwan, China took part in the exposition, and on the whole, over 300 enterprises from 18 countries took part in the "Russian Innovation Week" in Saint Petersburg.
The companies ASKRIN-Integration, NPO Horizon, Consource, Automat-Service, PROSOFT, RPKB, Vision Service, Forma Engineering, 3DNW.RU, KTC MK, Mediavisor, KB Display received diplomas of the Russian Department of the International Display Society SID for representing at the exhibition the advanced technologies in the field of information display.
The exhibition programme consisted of technical seminars and round tables:
- "Means and Systems of Visualization for Military-Industrial Complex, Industry, Transport"
- "Means of Visualization and Mediatechnologies in the Modern Educational Procedure"
- "Novelties of Visualization Means. Special Features of the Offers of the Leading Manufacturers - New Opportunities in the Current Economical Situation"
- "New Display Technologies"
- "Integrated Solutions for Situational Centers, Dispatching Centers"
- "Street Displays and Running Letters, Lighting and Advertising Solutions"
Besides, on October 1 the "All-Russian Day of Display Technologies" was held - a number of public lectures for experts and for students of the regional educational establishments about the up-to-date developments in the field of display technologies. A set of lectures was meant to contribute to the growth of technical education prestige, opening the prospects for creative work of engineers. At the last day of the exhibition, on the 3rd of October, there was a programme "New Generation". A group of youths, who were currently going through the course of the most needed for the industry and the city professions at colleges and technical schools of Saint Petersburg, came to "Lenexpo".
The next exhibition "DISPLAY" will be held in October 2010 in Moscow, within the framework of the integrated events of the Russian Week of Electronics.
