- International conference "Russia - Jordan - Iraq: prospects of economic development" (March 24)
- Topical round tables, which will bring together representatives of ministries, chief executives of Russian companies, businessmen of Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Siria and other countries of the Middle East region
Within the framework of the business program, a special attention will be paid to the topic: "Questions of cooperation of Russia with the countries of the Middle East region in power generating industry". Partly, such decision is motivated by the fact that in December of 2009, the World Bank made decision to invest no less than 5,5 billion of US dollars into the power generating industry. The money will be invested into building of systems, powered by so-called concentrated energy in the five countries of the region, in the first place - in Jordan. It is remarkable that up to now the most part of the generated electricity in Jordan is produced from the plants that use imported crude oil. It was Iraqi crude oil that was processed at Az-Zarqa Oil Refinery earlier. Now the prospects of retrofitting this plant are being considered. In this context, certain opportunities for Russian companies appear. Besides, deposites of tar and heavy crude oil have been found in the country, not far from Iraq border. Therefore, the Russian companies at the "Expo-Russia" exhibition will get a chance to discuss with the regional leaders the prospects of participation in the large-scale international energy projects in the Middle East.
The organizers of the event express confidence that the participation in the 9th Annual Russian Industrial Exhibition "Expo-Russia - 2010" will be comfortable and effective for every company. Everyone will be able to book exhibition floor space in advance for special prices, and that will help save considerable money.
