"MEGATECH - 2009"
The 1st International Exhibition "Megatech - 2009", new technologies in industrial diagnostics, was held on September 25, in Moscow, at the Exhibition Center "Infospace". The exhibition was devoted to the ussues of industrial diagnostics and quality control, which are becoming more and more important in the present-day world.
In reality, "Megatech - 2009" is not only an exhibition, this is also a scientific conference which includes 4 sections:
- non-destructive testing (section sponsor - "ASK-RENTGEN" ltd.)
- destructive testing (section sponsor - "Melitek" ltd.)
- diagnostics in power engineering
- mobile diagnostics complexes (section sponsor - "Mega Engineering" ltd.)
The sections started their work at 9:00, and the official opening of the exhibition took place at 12:00. At the opening ceremony the representatives of organizers, sponsors and partners of the project "Megatech - 2009" delivered their speaches, among others there were: a representative of the general sponsor, GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies company - Michael Yakunin, the head of the Crediting Department of MEZHTOPENERGOBANK, the financial sponsor of the exhibition - Natalia Dyachenko, an academic secretary of the Interindustrial Scientific-Production Association "Spektr", the director to the exhibition - Alexei Ostapenko, and the chief editor of the magazine "Megatech" - Ekaterina Kolesnikova.
The exhibition area could be conventionally devided into two parts - the main exhibition zone and demonstration zone.
In the main exhibition zone there were the stands of the companies:

In the demonstration zone there were the stands of the companies:

- Science and Technology Center of Unique Instrument Making of the Russian Academy of Science
- "Mega Engineering - Chelyabinsk"
- "ASK Engineering"
- "Koordinata"
- Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Cyclone-Test"
- Scientific and Production Centre "MOLNIYA"
- "Prometei" ltd.
- "Control, Measuring, and Weighing Gears" ltd.
All the visitors were also delighted with the stand of the company "MPK" CJSC (Brand - "Erdinger") - the beer sponsor of the exhibition. The exhibitors and visitors had a chance to taste this delicious foamy beverage, brewed in Germany.
The exhibition was carried out in a totally new form. Firstly, besides the exposition, which included equipment of non-destructive testing and materials testing, the exhibition visitors also had a unique opportunity to enjoy the exposition of art. The case was that one of the sponsors of the exhibition "Megatech - 2009" was the gallery "Antiqua", that was why the exhibition hall was decorated with the works of the famous Moscow artist Alexei Vaulin. All the visitors and exhibitors (about 300) of the exhibition were rewarded with the commemorative medal "Megatech", which were minted by Moscow Mint - the sponsor of the exhibition presentation foundation.
As remarked Michael Yakunin, the representative of GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies: "Today I meet such an unusial form for the first time, and it seems to me that it has a great future ... This exhibition is so amazingly comfortable and cosy in a family way ..."
Indeed, there weren't any "outsiders" at the exhibition, though it was visited by many Russian and foreign technical experts, responsible for production quality control. There were negotiations regarding challenging projects at the exhibition "Megatech - 2009", and some very promising conctracts were concluded.
It is expected that the number of exhibitors will be increased next year, including those, which represent foreign companies.
The exhibition was ended with a grand banquet, at which the visitors enjoyed not only dainty meals, but also listened to the magical music of the quartet "Venice", which is the musical sponsor of the conference. During the banquet there was an awarding of the winners of the competition "The Breakthrough of the Year". The winners received the statues with the symbols of the project "Megatech", which were manufactured especially for this event by "KHO" ltd., Zlatoust.
