The exhibition occupies all the Fairground pavilions and presents on the total area of over 80,000 sqm. the products of more than 1,800 companies from 57 countries. The firms of 28 countries have the national and collective stands. Every year more and more foreign companies take part at the "Prodexpo" exhibition, despite all the problems in the world economy. This year the companies from Peru supplemented the list of exhibitors. The most imposing participation on the state level is expected from such countries as Germany, Italy, Spain, Latvia, Thailand, France.
15 topical sections of "Prodexpo - 2010" encompass all the range of food products. The show is developing and the exposition of the "ProdexpoPack - 2010", demonstrating the new packing solutions for food industry, is presented as a separate exhibition this year. Also, "The Ice-Cream Salon" started its work for the first time.
The famous domestic and foreign producers and suppliers of food will use the opportunities of "Prodexpo" for promoting their products on the Russian market. For the first time, within the framework of the exhibition, a special event - "The Alley of Brands" is held, the leading in the food market companies take part in it.
An extensive working program of the "Prodexpo - 2010" exhibition provides for the 1st Russian - Japanese Congress on Agriculture and Food Market, meetings of the businessmen from Peru with the Russian business representatives at EXPO Peru-Russia, All-Russian Trading Forum, and All-Russian Alimentary Forum, as well as for many conferences, seminars, round tables, presentations, and other professional events.
The following contests will be carried out within the framework of the exhibition: "The Best Products", "Innovative Product of Prodexpo - 2010", "Choice of Chains", the 9th International Alcohol Drinks Tasting Competition, the largest contest in the industry for the best food packing - "ProdExtraPack".
The 17th International Exhibition "Prodexpo - 2010" is held by "Expocentre" with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Governments of Moscow and the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS Countries. The representatives of these organizations as well as the trade unions and associations take part in the exhibition's work and they were present at the exhibition opening ceremony, which took place on February 8, at 12:00 in the gallery between pavilions 2 and 8.
