TransBaltic - 2015
On 18-20 March the first International exhibition for transport, logistics and warehouse technologies "TransBaltic" was held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia at CEC EXPOFORUM.
3302 experts visited the show during three days. The exhibitors, Russian and foreign companies, displayed transport, customs and insurance services, loading and lifting equipment, warehouse and logistics technologies.
Within the exhibition, Finnlines company, one of the leading shipping companies in cargo-and-passenger operations in Northern Europe, organised a gala reception for its clients.
Concern Jungheinrich presented its innovative solutions, including a new line of loaders with internal-combustion engines, and a new model of the first in the world electrical carrier for pallets with lithium-ion battery EJE 112i. Jungheinrich developments using lithium-ion batteries are a new landmark in the field of intralogistics.
Visitors at the Toyota Material Handling`s stand gained a unique possibility to try hand at driving the loader, and to appreciate the calligraphy art demonstrated by a Japanese geisha.
A set of professional seminars and round tables for focus areas (import substitution, reduction in periods and spending of cargo delivery, warehouse property and logistics, transportation safety and cargo traffic optimization, development of multimodal transportation, customs processing) in logistics and transport in Russia went off in the framework of the exhibition. Among co-organisers of the business programme events there were: the Guild of professional foreign economic activity members HERMES, the Northwest Customs Department, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Leningrad region, the St. Petersburg regional department of the Association of Machine Builders of Russia, Soyuz-Invest, MMK Ust-Luga, Business Newspaper of the Leningrad Region, RZD-Partner, the expertise center "Safety traffic", SRI HSE-Saint-Petersburg and company Logopark.ru. Over 500 listeners visited the business programme for the exhibition three days.
Conference "Organisation of supplies from China amid the current economic situation" went off with great success (the organiser was company Vector-Expo, the round table partner was company Damu Contract Logistics). The conference brought together over 200 listeners. Within the event the problems of optimization of procurement, production, supply and customs processing of Chinese goods, as well as new possibilities for Russian exporters were discussed.
According to Irina Chumak, the "TransBaltic" exhibition director, the exhibition necessity became ripe long ago: "Saint-Petersburg is located on crossing of main cargo traffics of Europe and Russia, most of Russian exports and imports pass it. The new exhibition mirrors features of the transport infrastructure of the Baltic region for which logistics is a very important activity due to its geographical position. "TransBaltic" is a unique venue to share the experience accumulated in this field."
"TransBaltic" enters the portfolio of the ITE`s transport shows together with TransRussia (Moscow), TransSiberia (Novosibirsk), TransUkraine (Kiev), TransCaspian (Baku), TransUzbekistan (Tashkent), TransitKazakhstan (Astana), TransAsia (Singapure), TransPoland (Warsaw). High quality and prestige of the events is confirmed with numerous awards of company ITE for successful exhibition activities.
