Description

The Agrorus fair is an annual autumn harvest festival held in St. Petersburg, bringing together farmers from various regions of Russia. The event is focused on direct sales of farm products and regional food to end consumers, as well as establishing business contacts between agricultural producers, processors and wholesale buyers. The fair traditionally takes place at the turn of summer and autumn, offering visitors a wide selection of seasonal fresh harvest products. The fair serves as a platform for direct communication between city residents and farmers, contributing to increased trust in farm products and the formation of a culture of conscious consumption.

More than 250 farmers take part in the fair annually. The exposition covers main food categories: dairy products and cheeses, meat and sausage products, fresh, chilled and smoked fish, confectionery, honey and beekeeping products, seasonal vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, berries, nuts, teas and medicinal herbs. For gardeners, the fair offers seedlings of fruit trees and berry bushes, flowers, seeds, fertilizers, plant protection products, garden tools, greenhouses and landscaping elements.

A traditional highlight of the fair is the public honey tasting competition, where beekeepers from all honey-producing regions of Russia bring over 100 tons of honey and beekeeping products. The assortment includes more than 25 varieties of natural honey: linden, acacia, chestnut, buckwheat, mixed herbs, mountain, taiga, clover, mustard, cotton and others. Natural beekeeping products are also presented: propolis, beeswax, bee venom, royal jelly, bee bread, and zabrus. The competition is held in the following categories: Buckwheat Honey, Linden Honey, Acacia Honey, Flower Honey, and Honey from Across the Country.

The event is accompanied by a concert and entertainment program with performances by musical groups, a children's playground and a food court. The fairgrounds also feature a large tent with Indian goods, offering jewelry, natural cosmetics, handmade furniture, decor, incense and silk carpets. All meat and fish products undergo veterinary control and are supplied with certificates of conformity. Visitors can also receive advice from farmers on the selection and storage of purchased products.
