This year "ARCH Moscow" is held within the frames of the 3rd Moscow Architecture Biennale. The Architecture Biennale expresses recent architectural trends and promotes the development of technical innovations, style searching and design experiments in full. The best samples of domestic and foreign architectural achievements are demonstrated here and professional discussions on quality architectural space development principles are held. Architect and design bureaus from 20 countries of the world take part in the Biennale, they present future prospects of both urban and world architecture.
By intention of the exhibition case manager Bart Goldhoorn the keynote of the exhibition will be the subject: "Identities". He stated that for the first time in many tenth anniversaries Russian architecture has shown the world the real innovation: free plan. It exists abroad only as an experiment of local significance and now in Russia it is a running practice: customers do not trust anyone except themselves so far as concerns how to live on. It may be named as life style, market niche, target group of fashion. But, making choice, everyone determines his identity and enters a group knowingly our unknowingly. Perhaps it is time now to step back, to look at from the outside and to compare this works with each other, to compare them with works of architects from other countries and other times, and perhaps to draw some lessons from that.
The exhibition subjects: Architecture, Furniture design, Exterior and Interior solutions, Light in Architecture, Details. A new subject - All kinds of stone for facade and interior finishing.
