Venue: China Export Commodities Fairground Guangzhou China. Guangzhou is the place of origin of the Chinese hinterland art exposition.
In 1993, the first China Art Exposition was held by the ministry of China Culture
at the China Export Commodities Fair Building in Guangzhou.
Since 1996, Guangzhou International Art Fair change
to be sponsored People's Government of Guangzhou City
and organized by Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture.
In the final analysis, the structure and orientation of art markets in Beijing,
Shanghai and Guangzhou have shaped the three art fairs.
The Guangzhou International Art Fair is the second largest art fair in China
and this year's event had almost 400 booths covering a total of 9,000 square meters
of exhibition area. The artists, designers, and agents from the Chinese mainland,
as well as from Italy, South Korea, Japan, France, Australia, Russia,
Taiwan attended the show, and exhibited all kinds of art work,
including paintings, pottery, sculpture.
