Denizli is able to compete in most economic sectors especially in textile, tourism and marble. According to sectors, the percentage of enterprises in Denizli are 61 % Textile Industry, 8 % Machinery, 31 % Marble and Natural Stones. Denizli is one of the most important cities of Turkey, which is called as a Travertine Center. There are many kinds of marble. The marble types that are generally known are classical marble, travertine, onyx and granite. Out of these, marble is composed of totally crystallized stones with metamorphism. They are usually white or light gray in color. They contain lots of unique materials in their composition.
