The theme for the Conference is "Drilling Technology: Back to Basic"

Much E&P technology development has moved from the operators to their suppliers in the last 20 years. The industry faces issues of funding, ownership, sharing and application of the technologies that are needed to drill and compete wells in the environment of today and tomorrow. These issues will be the focus of the plenary sessions. While the plenary sessions and selected technical sessions are designed around the theme, the bulk of the programme will focus on areas of technology that have proven to be the most typical of working professionals.
