At the International Exhibition "Industry of Drinks / Russian Wine Fair - 2009", which will be held on November 26-28 in Moscow, there will be a master-class: "Wine of the New World: Australian Heat in a Wineglass".

A unique opportunity is opened for the true connoisseurs of the real wine and exotic mixtures. The wines from practically every wine-growing region of Australia will be presented at the master-class: "Wine of the New World: Australian Heat in a Wineglass".

Australia is a country with excessively hot climate, but the southern part of the island is notable for its milder climate, that is why 60% of vineyards are concentrated there. The climate of the southern Australia fits perfectly for wine growing.

The first grape-vine appeared on the green continent in the end of the 18th century. But industrial production began only in the second half of the 20th century. There has been a real revolution in wine growing on the green continent during the last 20 years and now practically all the main European wine sorts are grown in Australia, such as: Cabernet Sovinjon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Grenache. But the main Australian grape sort is Shiraz. Thanks to its heat-resistance and sustaining power, Shiraz has become a visit card of the Australian wines.

The following wines will be presented at the master-class:

  1. Blood & Courage and Mr. Riggs - the groups of wine companies GALVANIZED WINE GROUP (GWG), located in McLaren Vale, South Australia
Every wine is intended for expressing the tincture of the vineyard and our philosophy of creation table wines, believe the wine-makers of this region
  2. The Freedom 1843 Shiraz (2007) and Valley Floor Shiraz (2007) - dainty wines of the Langmeil Wines grapery, which is located in Barossa valley - the oldest wine making region of Australia
The first vineyard was planted there in the 19th century, by the German settlers, and five generation of wine-makers have cultivated this soil since then, producing exclusive wine - "Shiraz"
  3. Monkey Nut Tree Merlot (2006) and Klauber Block Shiraz Kies Wines (2005) - premium wines of the highest quality of the Kies family grapery, created from grape, grown in the "Hope Valley"
  4. Amadio Shiraz (2007) and Amadio Cabernet (2006) - from Amadio Wines family grapery have also won popularity all around the world
Production and sales of quality wine are made directly from the Amadio family wine cellars
  5. Barossa Shiraz (2006) and McLaren Vale Grenache (2005) - of the collection of the oldest grape-vines of Australia, grown in the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale by Gibson Wines company

The Australian wine making has a characteristic feature - completely different wines are produced from different grape sorts, this is what the participants of master-classes will learn on November 27, at 11:00, in the pavilion № 75 of the All-Russian Exhibition Center.
