Description

India is both a major energy producer and consumer. At present India ranks 11th in the world among the greatest energy producer, accounting for about 2.4% of the worlds total annual energy production, and sixth among the world's greatest energy consumer, accounting for about 3.3% of the worlds total annual energy consumption. With an expected GDP growth of 8% by the end of the 10th Five-year plan, the energy demand is expected to grow at 5.6-6.4%

Given the vast potential of growth in this important sector, CII is organizing Energy Expo 2007, its 3rd international exhibition & conference to show the progress made, deliberate the potential opportunities and challenges facing the industry and to create a plan of sustainable growth and development.
