LAAD has been held since 1997 once in two years.

The exhibition will be followed by flying display of the civil and military aircrafts and organizers believe that the role of the leading aviashow in Latin America, which at present belongs to the Chilean FIDAE, will pass to them. Besides, the organizers justly note that the potential of the Brazilian aviation industry exceeds the same industry in Chile in several times and the idea to impart to the exhibition in Rio the leading role on the continent has whole-hearted support in Brazil.
