Ligna+ is definitely the trendsetter event for its sector. In 2005 around 100,000 visitors came for a first-hand taste of the latest fruits of an industry marked by a strong spirit of innovation. The show's new concept met with widespread approval, not only by attendees but also by the 1,857 participating exhibitors. The event succeeds in attracting all the major players and multipliers to Hannover, due in no small part to its sharpened focus on the skilled trades (wood crafts) and the many attractive theme pavilions. Ligna+ serves well as a fertile seedbed for innovations soon to become industry standard.
