The most outstanding application will be Banking and Tax Integrated Terminals for tax-control purpose. The initial pilot cities have been approved to start the installation of this terminal in Beijing, Shanghai, Chendu and Changchun. In China, we have over 30 million registered small and medium-sized enterprises. If 20% of them install this terminal on a first trial case, there will be 6 million terminals to be installed. Moreover, the world's largest national ID project has commenced its continuous issuance of 1 billion new ID cards within next 5 years, the reading terminals are to be installed at hotels, banks, police-stations and all possible-application stations at unexpected numbers. With the continuous growth of smart cards application in the many industrial sectors, the terminal technology is catching up to suit the demands from urban public transports, medical insurance, social welfare and logistics as well as the manufacturing. Other data collection terminals, such as Set-top boxes, PDA and mobile/wireless terminals have become the emerging applications as a result of the advanced technology of telecom and silicon chips.
