- With stabilization of the Russia's economy, special activity has been observed in the sector of domestic producers, whose number exceeds 2,000 big- and medium-size enterprises in Saint Petersburg alone.
- The RUSSIAN BUILDING INDUSTRY 2001 exhibition has comprehensively shown the state of the construction industry in the North-west of Russia. Displays of the Construction Committees of Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Murmansk, Leningrad, Novgorod and Pskov Oblasts, the Republic of Komi and Karelia will now become permanent participants of the RUSSIAN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY exhibition.
