Description
Venue: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, China. The importance of China and Asia to the worldwide tobacco
markets has never been more obvious than now. As the world's
largest market for cigarettes with approximately 350m consumers,
China produces more cigarettes than any other country - producing
30% and consuming a third of the world's cigarettes. As the number
of smokers in this part of the world continues to rise,
China and Asia have become the most sought after markets for tobacco
companies. World Tobacco Asia 2008 is the latest in a series of exhibitions
and conferences, from the team behind the market leading World Tobacco
magazine that goes to the heart of these increasingly important markets. The World Tobacco exhibitions have a proven track record attracting
the right visitors. Previous China events have taken place in 1999, 2001 and 2004.
In total these three events have attracted over 18,000 visitors. The legacy of these events, and the strong and co-operative
relationship with the Chinese and Asian tobacco industries,
makes World Tobacco Asia 2008 a vital exhibition in which to participate.
