Velikoretsk Fair - 2019

The tradition of holding fairs connected with the sacred procession of the icon of St. Nicolas on the Velikaya river. Fair formally accompanied the sacred procession. However, in reality it was a big trade company of goods exchange between the rural and urban populations. Fair organized in the village gathered merchants from Moscow, Nizhni-Novgorod, Kostroma, Kazan (at least 55 of them were even merchants of the 1st Guild higher) and ranked in importance third in the province. "Velikoretskaya Fair" aims to continue and to resume trading traditions, to promote the development of entrepreneurship, creating comfortable working conditions for the participants of exhibition-fair and the atmosphere of pleasant shopping for visitors.
