Aims of the exhibition - demonstration of the advanced technologies and equipment for timber industry, assistance in establishing new business contacts and strengthening of scientific and technical ties between domestic and foreign companies.

- demonstration of equipment, technologies and instruments of the leading domestic and foreign producers;
- seminars, conferences, firms' and projects' presentations.
Participants of the exhibition:
- Timber industry enterprises, producers and suppliers of the advanced technologies, materials, equipment, instruments and spare parts.
Visitors:
- Annually more than 8000 people visit the exhibition. Among them there are managers and leading specialists of the enterprises, representatives of the ministries and departments, scientific and research institutions, centers of scientific and technical information, representatives of the companies of small and middle business.
Market overview
Tatarstan is one of the most economically advanced republics in the Russian Federation which has developed industrial structure. The share of wood processing and pulp-and-paper industry in the total volume of industrial production is 1,6%. Main demand of the enterprises and population of the republic for the timber industry production is satisfied by the import of goods from other regions. Absence of the own raw materials' base is one of the problems, which position the republican enterprises into tough dependent conditions from the raw materials producers. In 2002 the elaboration of the State program of development of the timber industry of the Republic of Tatarstan for the period up to 2010 was initiated.
Great attention is being paid to the development of the furniture market and in this connection decision of the following tasks:
- holding of scientific and technical and innovation policy which assist expansion of the output of the competitive production taking into account the necessity of satisfaction of the solvent demand;
- technical rearmament of the active production;
- intensification of the enterprises' specialization;
- development of the furniture production infrastructure.
The strategic projects of the branch are the projects of the timber wastes treatment. Realization of these projects will let to create new job vacancies and contribute to development of the ecological situation in the republic.
Exhibition center
- ОАО "Kazanskaya Yarmarka" is the modern exhibition complex which has been working at the exhibition market more than 10 years. Annually the exhibition center organizes more than 40 exhibitions and fairs, including the international ones. During these years exhibition centre "Kazanskaya Yarmarka" has acquired reliable partners, among which are the leading russian and foreign companies. On the territory of the exhibition centre there are 3 exhibition pavilions of 6700 sq. m total area, Pavilion for receptions and presentations, modern business-centre, open exposition space of 15000 sq. m total area. The total area of the exhibition centre is 12,1 Ha. OAO "Kazanskaya Yarmarka" is a member of the following international organizations: International Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (IUEF), Nizhny Novgorod, and Union of International Fairs (UFI), Paris.
